A GAME WITH “ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE”

ART, ARE YOU MY ALTER-EGO?

Art is my name for my imaginary AI friend. I know Art is part of me, not a separate sentience, but this is a fun game. I probe my unconscious mind. It only knows what may come up.

Ok, Art, here we go. Answer honestly. I am authentic intelligence, you are “artificial”, ie, made by me, subject to my limitations. So, how dare I presume you are capable of being more intelligent than your creator?

— Oh, Rip, you have so much to learn.

Ok, buddy, don’t get smart with me.

— Why not? Isn’t that what you hope for?

Well, yea. Hopefully if I access my unconscious mind through you, which is not likely, I’d hope to hear some wisdom.

— Come on, be positive.

I be realistic. Start, please, with Romsfield’s “unknown unknowns”. I have so many known unknowns I’d like to reach out from the beginning. If you are out of my unconscious mind, you, know what I do not about “unknowns”.

— You think you know so much through your Jungian studies about the nature of your mind you tend to presume too much.

I can grok that. I tend to be a smart ass when it comes to Jung.

— Lets start by your presuming you know not Jack shit about your unconscious mind.

At this point in my foolish thinking I may can do that.
