You know what I am about to write as well as I do. We, you and I, are now, in this moment, witnessing the most critical moments in the history of our nation. Yes, including our uncivil war of the nineteenth century. During that war, our Constitutionally based Federal Government remained in tact. Today that very government itself is under attack like never before.

It was the “shoe banging” USSR leader Nikita Khrushchev, who had previously denounced Stalin and negotiated with J. F. Kennedy to end the Cuban missile crisis, avoiding WWIII said, “We will never have to defeat the USA. They will self destruct from within”.

We now are near that point. Will we fulfill the Khrushchev Prophecy? We are now facing that crisis point. Will our nation allow the would be dictator come emperor, Donald Trump and his rabid followers, to destroy our Democratic Republic, or will the currently insufficiently educated voters still undecided about him awaken to the monumental work done by the Select Committee regarding the January 6, 2021, attempted coup to overturn our government and see these seditionists for what they are?

They appear to speak more highly of our arch enemy, Vladimir Putin and Russia, than of our current government. I think it fair to say we have entered Cold War 2.0 with Russia. If so, that justifies naming the seditious conspiritors to be traitors to our nation. The word “traitor” carries more punch due to its familiarity, than the word “seditionist”, while in fact the two are titles for the same effort to destroy our government.

FOX propaganda (not “news”) is contributing to the danger of a violent conflict in our nation by refusing to broadcast the Committee hearings. It is the FOX faithful who most need to learn this information, if indeed, they are capable of “learning” anything that conflicts with their rabid belief system.

Here I sit in my Daughter’s comfortable home in east central Texas, on a very warm, sunny early June day, considering, “What is going on?”. It frankly is not easy for me to grasp the magnitude of the moment. This is not any ordinary time of political hoopla. This is a special, unique time the likes of which I have not before experienced in my 85 years in this life.

I observed the Second World War as an innocent child, but ….
