As a geophysicist who studies paranormal events associated with telluric energies, I find this quite interesting. I now have more research to explore.
More locally we have the San Luis Valley in Colorado and the Uintah Basin of Northeastern Utah containing Skinwalker Ranch. These two areas are very well known for their extensive history of paranormal activity.
