BEWARE THE RUT

MORE THOUGHTS THAT HELP ME

Many of us are given same or similar insights that seem to make sense. This may be because we have chosen to travel with like minded companions.

Numbers do not prove value. Although the path is well worn, it may lead in circles. Analyze carefully.

Let not a path become a rut.

Purposely deviate from the well worn path. Explore, keeping close track of your location. Blaze well. You may need to retrace your steps. That’s OK. You now know your territory better.

If an explorer never loses his way, is he a real explorer? Will he ever discover something truly new?

It is outside the lines that discovery is made.

Those who venture outside the lines must be prepared for criticism and mockery.

When you make discoveries, you lose old friends — and gain new friends.

Your gain far outshines your loss.

When discoveries are made, accolades are of little meaning. The meaning is found in the discovery itself. New knowing brings great satisfaction, whether or not credit is given, for the effort was not put forth for purposes of gaining positive attention, but for the purpose of the joy of the journey itself, and the goal achieved.

Above your workroom door post the sign: “No admittance to egos”. Your interruptions will greatly diminish. The first ego to be restricted is your own.
