CREATOR, CREATED — HUMANS, MACHINES AND SOUL

Many believe we have reason to postulate, as an operational hypothesis, that at the very base of all there is we find an ultimate, ineffable, infinite, Creator, and everything else is created out of the substance of that source of Creation.

The Conscious Universe, the presence of mind in all of creation, is now a legitimate discussion for science. Science and spiritual search are now in the process of merging. This is good. It is necessary, if Truth is to be the ultimate goal of human endeavor.

My goal here is to stimulate thinking by asking questions, and not presuming to answer them. The answers need to come from you, dear reader.

We constantly push our technology against the limits of human imagination. We give all we have in our competition to lead the exponential development of more complex, capable, smarter machines. We are creators, but do we know what we are creating?

I will not speak of the dangers of Artificial Intelligence. I leave that to a genius, Elon Musk. I am no genius, stable or otherwise. Based upon our history and nature, it seems certain that we will carry AI and robotics beyond anything we can now imagine. “I Robot” will become real. Science fiction has long demonstrated itself to be a predictor of the future.
