ANGEL AND DEMON WITHIN

Heaven and hell on earth, angel and demon within, reconciliation of opposites. Can Heaven be reconciled with Hell? Can angel be reconciled with demon? Can positive be reconciled to negative? To reconcile means to restore friendly relations. You can’t restore what never was.

Were these dichotomies once joined in friendly relationship? If so, are they now without our realizing it? As you know, some have the philosophy that “All is One”, scientifically supported as well as “known” by mystic tradition. I assume for now that these opposites were once known to be, and continue to be in fact, One.

This does not comfortably fit in reasonable analysis. How can such distinct opposites be acceptably related as one thing? Although distinctly different in nature, the opposites combine into One whole, individually different, yet mixed together to compose a single whole in which their distinctive nature is necessary to make the whole in which they are joined what it is intended to be.

In this instance, black and white do not make grey. They each maintain their integrity, playing their separate roles in creating the whole of which they are the essence, separate, distinct, joined, but One.

Imagine a stick with one end being an angel, the other a demon. Same stick, two different ends. More than connected, each end is part of, therefore one with, the stick. Each end serves a necessary purpose. The stick requires each end, otherwise it is not a stick.
