ENGAGING THE GREAT MYSTERY
WHILE KEEPING FEET ON THE GROUND
I see us as part of one great mystery which subsumes many sub-mysteries. We might title the Great Mystery simply as Life.
What is “mystery”? Dictionary: “Something that is difficult or impossible to understand”.
I immediately don’t like “…impossible to understand.” I like to think there is no unsolvable mystery. We are sentient beings created out of the essence of the Creator. I think we should carry the ability to eventually solve all mysteries, or never give up the effort.
There are at least two fundamental ways of knowing. There is our left brain with which we are so familiar and on which we normally rely. It functions on the principals of logic and reasoning. We know it has it’s limits, amongst which seems to be decoding the Great Mystery.
But, there is another way of knowing, that which is identified with our other brain, the right brain. This brain is not limited to the restraints of logic and reason. That is not to say it is irrational or illogical, but the right brain accesses information and processes it in a very different manner that its neighbor, the left brain.
We’ve all heard about the difference between the two brains we each have, and I’ve written on it several times, but there always seems to remain some degree of difficulty in really accepting and utilizing the different talents of the right brain.
