HOW DO I KNOW?
EXPLORING EPISTOMOLOGY
Philosophy is far more than a boring, airhead course required to get a piece of paper, or a subject reserved for impractical, abstract “thinkers” who want to pretend intelligence and take ego trips. “Episte what?”
The nature of “knowing” is a perineal, foundational question in our philosophical explorations. The second question, explored by epistemology, is “what is”, , i.e. ontology, the nature of being. We must have some idea of what “knowing” means, and how we come to know before we can explore the nature of being, i.e., what is reality.
This sounds like a dry, intellectual, or pseudo-intellectual, boring exploration into the desert of wandering thinking. It truly is much more than that. We are embarking upon the adventure of exploring once more who and what we are, and how do we KNOW.
Seems to me it would be kind of nice to know the basics of the mind that is typing these words, as it might be of interest to know the nature of the mind that reads them.
If I sound presumptuous, I apologize, because I strongly suspicion most of you have thought much on these subjects, and are well along in your explorations of the nature of knowing. If not, welcome aboard. We need all the thinkers we can round up for this journey. We everyone of us are passengers and crew on this vessel, each with our own role to play.
