I do not see this “precognizent” intelligence to be hostile towards humans. It does disable our best equipment at will. People get hurt. I think injuries are a result of accidental exposure to a wide range of exotic energies present on the ranch and not resulting from intent to do harm. There have been mental cautions given in obvious effort to prevent harm. If this intelligence intended harm, people would be dead by now.
I think it a mistake to presume this intelligence to be hostile. It has its agenda of secrecy, but allows us to play our games, up to a point.
