The job of those guys seems simply to scare people, but seldom cause harm. Also, I see these things as tulpa-like thought forms, a sort of psychically created animal like (but not animal) creature that can scratch trees, but is not limited to materiality. Weird shit, my friend. I can do without a creature whose sole reason to be is to be a pain in the ass, and seek to scare my ass off! The force behind these forms is of considerable curiosity, but not one I’d want to mess with. Too unknown, and quite powerful, not something I’d want to clumsily piss off!
