I essentially agree, but interested in survival of consciousness or not, it exists, and curiosity moves at least me toward a look-see from time to time, even though it does not preoccupy me. Curiosity and imagination are constant companions.
At age 86, watching friends graduate, the curiosity increases for me.
Tibetan and Egyptian Books of the Dead encourage a conscious death. I think that is enhanced by having some idea of what to expect.
