IGNORANCE IS BLISS
SAFETY IN STUPIDITY?
“The distance between insanity and genius is measured only by success”. Bruce Feirstein
Seeking solace, I have looked at the lives of some of our most brilliant thinkers who were labeled insane.
Friedrich Nietzche is a good example. Although he suffered migraine without aura since childhood, not withstanding his brilliance, he died insane. Perhaps it was organic.
Not all “insane geniuses” are recognized as “insane” by the general public; Charlie Chaplin, Micheal Angelo, Nicola Tesla, and others. They were all geniuses, just not as crazy as Nietzche.
The public likes to label especially successful folks as if they are at least half nuts. Elon Musk knows about that.
Some people must label any genius as insane, mostly out of jealousy and envy. Not enviable personal characteristics.

I seek peace where I can find it. I have no concern about going insane.
I’m not smart enough.
Or, am I too insane to know it? If you say, “Yes”, I won’t believe you. After all, your assessment means I am crazier than I think, and I think I’m about crazy enough.
Is my condition better than being smart enough to know I’m insane? Who am I to know? All I know is I have a certain peace that most really smart people seem to have difficulty finding.
