Interestingly, and consistently, we find our conclusions to be comfortable with our preconceived biases. We search and research diligently, but at the conclusion it seems far more likely than not we find what we were looking for, affirmation that our original preferred belief was right all along.
The closed mind hides from itself while firmly proclaiming openness.
Upon discovery we have proven our preference the likelihood of error is high and honesty demands we search out the errors and attempt to prove our first conclusions wrong.
