It is interesting, and for me a bit of fun, to ask a typical Evangelical what Jesus had to say about gays, lesbians, and other queers. They quote St. Paul, but not Jesus. There is nothing to say. Jesus said not one word on the subject.
We generally think that Jesus addressed all subjects important to the faith. We know from multiple sources that queer life was as prevalent during his life as it is now, and he said nothing about it. So, what excuse do we have to make a great issue about homosexuality and salvation when The Man himself said NOTHING about it?
Did he just forget, or did he just consider it to be a non- issue regarding favor with God?
You know the answer. Evangelicals are simply once again rewriting scripture to address their own repressed inclinations.
Note how many of the most animated anti gay preachers have turned out to be gay.
When condemning gays to hell they are telling us their darkest secrets, as well as violating the scriptures they worship by judging others to hell.
