Ken, thank you for this story. I lived in Garland, Texas where Terry resided. I read his first book and contacted him by phone a couple of times. We never were able to time a personal meeting. He sounds to me, also a lawyer, to be a credible person.

I have a couple of points that are my interpretation of his extraordinary journey. First, the real and clear villains of this story are the government personal that attempted to destroy his mind with strange pills he was ordered to take. He and his wife both recognized the consequences of the medication and faked his taking it. Unfortunately, Toby apparently took the drugs as ordered, and it destroyed him. Our government destroyed Toby, and attempted to destroy Terry.

As for the aliens, at least one, posibly a hybrid female, befriended him. He was on an alien craft more than once. His second adventure on an alien craft, accompanied by his alien friend, was not harrowing or abusive. Yes, his first abduction was a nightmare, but not necessarily cruelly abusive, nothing like what the superior officer put him through and attempted to do to him. I never got the impression that Terry had concluded the aliens were evil. Maybe I missed something.

Terry's story is fascinating, and deserves more than one read. His follow up book is far less personal, but still a good read, presenting fine accounts from some abductees who contacted him.

You are quite right. Terry is still digesting this strange part of his life. I am convinced he is a credible witness and a good man, and I wish him, and you, the best.
