Do you, like I, feel the impact of the titular subject? This is nothing new. People in stressful times of the past have often felt a dramatic societal change approaching, whether it be the “second coming”, or other great cultural change.

We live in relatively stressful times, but in my 85 years I can’t seem to think of a significant time without stresses of some sort. They have all been difficult, distressing.

Ironically, the heroic national coming together in common cause of the WWII was a good thing in the midst of horrible circumstances. Somehow, the scales seem to balance, not overwhelming horror, not senseless joy — balance.

The “cold war” and its constant threat of nuclear annihilation, the “McCarthy” attacks ruining the lives of innocent citizens, racial riots, assignations, mass murders, pandemics, a desperately and dangerously divided “take no prisoners” political divide exchanging the darkest accusations, threatening civil war, neighbor hating neighbor. We are not now in war, but it seems to always threaten.

We face the horror of perhaps the most powerful religion in our nation, so called “Christianity” promoting anti-Christ, institutionalized heretical theology unrelated to the teachings of Jesus called Christ, seeking to deny our Constitution and turn this nation into a Theocratic Dictatorship — promoting lie after lie, largely in support of the most the most dangerous pathological liar ever to rise to power in this nation —…
