Our body finds a way, but needs our cooperation. Engji cooperated. I deeply appreciate this well researched and succinctly presented essay. It is very important. I think our most inherent and natural spiritual pursuit is Paganism, and the heart of Paganism is the Shamanic experience. A Shaman is called. He/She does not pursue the goal to become a community Shaman, but each of us if free to open ourselves to experience whatever of these special talents are intended for us.
A called Shaman experiences spiritual death and resurrection ( sometimes even physical). The called Shaman then becomes the embodiment of “The Wounded Healer”.
Thank you so much for this essay!!!
