Our lack of communication ability with our own species points our the serious challenge we have in attempting to communicate with a probable advanced species and the AI they have created. We are, for the most part, very primitive.
The ability to communicate with an advanced intelligence will depend on its ability and willingness to lower its usual communication standards closer to ours.
