Please, no apologies. You needed to vent your frustration, and that was the purpose for your reading my article.

It sounds like your Dad is close to being a mental case. The fantasies are not that uncommon, but to tell them as if they are true raises concern. If he believes this stuff is true, he has a pretty serious problem that needs medical attention. If he knows its all bullshit and tells it for the hell of it, he isn't sick, just screwed up personality.

In either case, I'm not sure it is your problem to deal with, unless the rest of the family supports the idea of medical care (psychiatrist). That would need his cooperation, which would be difficult to get.

I am glad for you sharing your stress with me. That lends more value to what I wrote.
