PRESIDENT — DICTATOR
History clearly shows how dictators gain power. They present personal appeal to a significant percentage of the citizens who proceed to place them in a top elected office. Then they use the built in freedoms of the constitution to place their faithful followers in positions of power. Then it is a short series of steps to obliterate the rule of law and take total control.
It is a gradual but relatively quick takeover. It took Hitler 52 days. It’s taken Trump 100 days. Dictators wait to proclaim their position until there is no denying it.
Examples: Deporting alleged criminals without due process of law allowing them opportunity to hear the charges, get legal representation, and have a trial. These are legal basics that are bypassed. Next is to round up political enemies and treat them the same. Citizens who opposed the dictator disappear, never to be heard from again.
Economic pressure is brought on legacy news outlets to silence the naysayers. Educational institutions are, under economic pressure, caused to shape their educational process to please the dictator.
The laws of the nation, and its constitution, are obliterated as the dictator continues to commit crimes without accountability due to fear of the supporters he rounded up. They will have already shown they will act as outlaws counting on protection by the man they support, the dictator. This is a certainty due to his protection of other supporters previously accused of crimes, allowing them to walk free.
