PROLIFERATION OF WEIRDNESS

I may be telling more about myself than I’d like. The observation in the title may result from what I personally emphasize and enjoy, the things I read, etc., but, have you noticed an increasing interest in the strangest things we encounter, the really weird stuff?

It seems pretty widespread to me, even creeping into daily news. I’m not talking about UFO/UAP interest. That is a legitimate inquiry deserving, even demanding, more of our thought and attention.

What triggered this commentary is my just having read Terry Larches interesting article about a trucker who encountered a side-of the-road “freak show”. If you haven’t seen it, I suggest you read it as a fine example of the weirdness we are seeing reported.

I don’t know, but it seems to me that an increasing number of people are revealing more interest in the strangest encounters. That is understandable, as we healthfully explore the nature of consciousness and reality.

I don’t think it healthy to devote too much of our time to strangeness like “Skinwalker Ranch”, etc. although I personally love that weird and true story. I should note that associated with the “Ranch” is the hitch hiker phenomenon. Scientists, government investigators have had some of these strange events follow them whom. Some don’t want to talk about it thinking that talking about it might encourage it to “hitch a ride home”.

This clearly implies paying excessive attention to this weirdness, talking about it…
