PSYCHIC EXPERIENCES AND OTHER WEIRDNESS
Most of us are a bit reluctant to discuss our unusual experiences out of apprehension we will be mocked.
At this stage of my life, “Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn”.
I begin with what is now finally becoming less weird, and is seen as an acceptable subject for intelligent discussion—The UFO/UAP experience.
Way back in April of 1947, just before my tenth birthday, and before Kenneth Arnold intiated the “flying saucer” phenomenon, I, my Mother and Dad were driving north on old highway 75 near Conroe, Tx, headed back to home in Corsicana, Tx. following a visit to my Dad’s family in Texas City. It was in the early night hours, not long after sun set.
I don’t recall any conversation at the time. Dad was driving, Mother in the middle seat and I in the right side passenger front seat, next to the door, in our 1941 Ford sedan.
Suddenly from over the hill in front of us, and around a gentle curve to our right, just over the highway by perhaps fifty feet, came a silent simicicular line of about five separate lights that appeared to me to be on a single craft. The lights came rapidly straight down the highway toward us, then when they were directly over our car, they broke in an immediate right angle turn to race off to our left over a field. They disappeared behind trees.
The entire event took about ,two seconds. A moment of silence passed when Dad said, “Did you all see that damn thing?” Mother admonished his use of “damn” in my presence, then…
