PURPOSE — REASON TO BE — CONTRIBUTION OF VALUE

I assume my life has purpose, else I’d not have life. I assume my purpose is my reason to be. I assume I contribute value to this world. Great assumptions, but why not?

So, what specifically is my purpose? A part of it is to somehow be of benefit to my family simply by being here. I can’t say anyone finds wisdom in me, or that I answer any meaningful questions for them.

I write my thoughts here. Does anyone benefit? I benefit from merely expressing myself. I take that as sufficient.

Is my purpose as spirit inhabiting a human body simply to learn for my benefit? If so, is that enough? Yes, although I’d like to find greater value in contributing to others. Again, I presume there is value I can’t yet see. It feels better to do so.

I have, in my professions of lawyer and mediator, contributed some value to others, but the professions are over. What now? This exploration.

I enjoy this. That is ok, even if it is just for my benefit alone. I am a human. I have a right to be here. I am a child of the Universe. I sit, digesting the power of that statement.

I shut this down for tonight. Perhaps more tomorrow, If I am still a human.

Enough.
