Somehow we tend to fear silence. It is as if our minds grow quiet we are somehow failing in our responsibilities. Just the opposite is the truth. My noisy mind constantly demands my full attention. It is my mind and my noise, and is for me to discipline it into the silence I must have in order to hear the still, small voice of peace and truth which refuses to shout but only whispers deep inside.
Thank you for this always needed reminder.
