SPIRITUAL ORGASM

SAY WHAT?

This is a giant subject, too great for me to adequately express. If there is truth in what I say, it is for you alone to determine.

Hearing the word “orgasm” quickly calls up sexual orgasim. That is a powerful human experience, so wonderful it is difficult to get past. It for men is defined as accompanied by ejaculation. Thank God, not necessarily so.

Men need to learn, with discipline, to withhold the ejaculation at it’s peak, and hold it. This can lead to an internal orgasms much like, I suspect, what women experience. This is the discipline of Tantra out of Hindu philosophy.

But, I write about another, far greater experience. Spiritual orgasm is the ultimate form of this gift of God we know a “orgasm”, and not commonly experienced.

I read of a monk who, after years of meditation, and celibacy, had failed to achieve enlightenment. Recognizing his sexual preoccupation, he gave up and went to a prostitute. At the peak of his physical experience, he discovered enlightenment, union with God.

Sexual orgasm has a deep connection with Spiritual orgasm. With the enhancement of the senses, seeing colors brighter, smells pleasantly enhanced, and moments of union with the beloved, there often is a timeless experience that does not lend itself to reduction to words.

We need to remember, orgasm is a great gift of God. This gift goes infinitely beyond sexual expression, if we will allow it. Our difficulty is the experience is so…
