Thanks again. This really helps clarify things. The way Tolle spoke of the very unusual nature of his experience with the now may actually have impressed him as a "spiritual enlightenment". It's been a long time since I read his account, but he seemed to have an unusually strong reaction to it that may well have seemed to be, or even actually have been for him spiritual in nature.
I sense your objective, practical approach toward these. things and appreciate your questioning the real profundity of what may or. not be actual "spiritual experience". That is a profoundly important topic that you and I and many others do not want watered down.
