THE SHIFT OFF ROAD

NOT ALWAYS SMOOTH

Jocelyn Joy Thomas recently wrote regarding her guides views of “The Shift”, confirming my experience that it is not always a smooth road to greater consciousness.

This, I think, is why so many think the idea of a Shift toward greater consciousness is foolishness. Much of the time those of us aware of the reality of The Shift are off road, in the rocks and swamps. It is tiring.

But, such is dramatic change. It does not usually come easily. Participating in the expansion of our consciousness is largely an unconscious endeavor, and therefore much of the energy required is not known to consciousness. All consciousness knows is, “I’m tired”.

Sure. You are working cleaning out untold, unknown “stuff” you have accumulated through who knows how many lifetimes, generally without knowing what you are doing. We are unconsciously guided in this great change which is coming upon us, unbidden.

Yes, of course, we all seek greater knowing, greater consciousness, but the path to that great change comes to us when we are ready. We do not consciously chose it. It just happens.

Yet, we do have choice. We can chose to opt out of the “The Shift”, fearing change we do not control and the effort it takes. The Shift presents itself in unknown ways, but does not force itself upon us. We must chose to cooperate, or opt out.

“Wait a minute. I’m not ‘choosing’ anything. Change is just occurring, and it is not always comfortable.” Yes…
