THE THEFT OF OUR MINDS?

No. We are simply giving them away to the mechanisms we have created. The algorithm monster creeps it’s tentacles around our minds, stealing our thoughts, because we hand them over so freely, being too lazy to think. Why think, when a machine stands ready to think for us?

AI, here we are for the taking, too fucking lazy to exert our minds. Woops — did I sound like Elon Musk? Can not be. He’s a genius and I’m a native Texan. Elon would never so casually use that great, but somewhat degenerate and over used word “Fuck”. Woops again. I forgot about the BFR.

If this presumptuous speculation of mine is true, transhumanism is upon us now, a parasite sucking our human, God given nature out of us. If this is the case, we don’t deserve to survive. We Homo sapiens, may prove to be simply one more experiment gone sour. Our transhuman condition may be neither human nor efficient machine.

Problem — I don’t believe this. We have enjoyed the gifts of too many brilliant people to think that our capacity for brilliance has suddenly gone away. It may be going, but not gone. Perhaps a majority of us are lazy minded, and are ready to surrender to AI, but not Elon and others much dumber than Elon, like even a handful of native Texans, believe it or not.

Why did I take off on this line of thought? Because as I was typing earlier, the computer kept suggesting other words it deemed more appropriate. Perhaps appropriate for the damned machine, but not for me. Algorithms at work.
