TIME STANDS STILL

IN SPIRITUAL PRESENCE

Through time and around the world we have heard the stories of people experiencing time standing still. Usually at night, alone, people have unbidden experiences of the night breeze stopping, all night sounds grow silent, and they have the distinct feeling of time having stopped.

There often is visualized, or deeply felt, the presence of another, often an entity of light. The presence is startling but never fear invoking. Usually no words are transmitted, even telepathically. The presence is real. It conveys a sense of peace, and a silent message of great importance.

Following the disappearance of the visitor, things returned to normal. Breeze, sounds return, and the witness remains in wonder. What just happened?

Then, sometimes immediately or shortly thereafter, the witness realizes a change, often a dramatic change, in their life, always for the better. People close to the experiencer witness the change, and know without doubt something very positive has changed. A gift has been delivered.

I know one case extremely well. A young woman I’ve know since birth was, at age twelve, suffering angst over the pending death of her grandmother with whom she was very close. At a church camp she had shared her grief with others and engaged in prayer. She was distraught.

Walking alone back to her cabin from the group visit, she realized the stoppage of time described above. To her left she clearly saw a man sitting cross legged on a rock. His…
