UFO/UAP AS SPIRITUAL EXPERIENCE

The take off point for this discussion is a book titled “UFO OF GOD”, by Chris Bledsoe. I strongly recommend this book. It tells a dramatic story that is increasingly reflected by Experiencers, i.e., “Abductees”.

Another book critically important to this discussion is, “Encounters: Experiences with Non Human intelligences”, by Diane Pasulka, a well known and highly respected professor of religious studies.

I do not easily recommend books or comments by others. These two books are foundational to our gaining a better grasp of the mystery of the Phenomenon.

If you have had a close encounter experience, or are close to those who have, I suggest these books are required reading. They provide company and a greater awareness of this special experience for those who are chosen.

Although I have experienced seven encounters of the first kind, beginning in early 1947, pre Kenneth Arnold’s introduction of “flying saucers” to the press, only two of them carried a feeling of “personal recognition”, the very first being a clear dramatic high speed right angle turn right over our car.

For me, this was a recognition of our presence, a way of saying “Hello” to my mother, dad and I. The other response I got from a rather dramatic sighting was number five, occurring at my daughter’s home in Bryan, Texas, about a year ago.

Sitting on the second story deck, about 8:00 PM (dark) facing Southwest, I noted a single white light coming toward my location at a relatively slow pace. It crossed over the flight pattern for the airport, but clearly was not an airplane. No FAA red or green lights, no strobes, no sound when it got near.

At about 10,00o feet, it approached just to my left. As it neared, I became convinced that this was a legitimate UFO. I thought, “If you are as you appear, and are aware of me, why not come closer for a better look?”

It immediately blinked out, gone, nowhere to be found. No clouds, nothing to obstruct my view in all directions. It was simply gone.

At that moment I said, “We have no business together at this time”. I felt that thought was telepathically delivered, but perhaps I simply thought it due to the circumstances. Whether from “them” or my own mind, that thought clearly spoke to the truth.

My encounters are notable, and clearly confirm to me what I’ve know since 1947. These are real encounters with intelligently controlled events. They demonstrate capabilities far beyond our current knowledge of physics.

My encounters have carried no direct, discernible psychic or spiritual implications, but most all of the “abduction” experiencers do clearly carry these implications.

The mystery of the Phenomenon as it presents to us is far greater, far more important, more mysterious than a typical ET from other planets might imply. These experiences tend to open our psychic awareness in an efficacious manner.

Yes, they can be traumatic, causing considerable consternation, but over all, to me they seem to be a blessing for those chosen.

I neither seek the close encounter experience, nor do I fear it. My spiritual path thus far does not include this direct, phenomenal experience. I on occasion have direct contact with spiritual realities. I follow the path set before me, and it is good.

In view of our current circumstances with a dramatically shifting perception of reality, it is clear to me that we must each find our way into spiritual reality.

Whether our individual path toward enlightenment is one taking us to fervently follow a particular religion, with regular church attendance, or what we think of as “spiritual but not religious”, as is my path, which is one more pantheistic and pagan, aligned with Huxley’s “The Perineal Phelosophy”, we each have a personal path to follow.

The path of close encounters may have chosen you. We are each chosen by our paths, not vice versa. When on our path, although it might require some adjusting, it overall is comfortable, and feels right.

Which ever road we follow will have chug holes, rocks, stumbling stones, challenges, doubts. This is all part of everyone’s journey, and for good, if unknown, purposes.

As Donte said, “When (not if) we find ourselves walking through hell, keep walking. Down eventually become up”.

From time to time it seems we all experience such doubt that we feel alone, on a path to nowhere. That is our necessary glimpse of hell.

Keep walking. It doesn’t hurt to occasionally look up.
