UNIVERSAL ART
Webster tells us “art” is a human endeavor to create beauty. Partially true, in so far as humans are conscious. There is also “Dark Art. Consciousness is the creator of art.
Science postulates that the universe is a vast communication of information requiring the presumption of consciousness.
This speaks of “the Great Consciousness” we call Source, or God. It creates both beautiful art and dark art.
One of Joe Rogan’s best is his interview with Thomas Campbell on YouTube. They don’t speak of art per se, but they talk of literally everything else. I highly recommend you check this out. They lay the groundwork for what I’d like to get to here.
Everywhere the eye of the artist gazes, he sees art. We all have that eye. It may be waiting to be opened.
Art is neither rational nor irrational. It is not emotional, per se, but it is feeling. Art expresses life and creation in a revealing way. There is balance and wholeness in artistic expression.
Even dark art plays an important role in our lives. Magic is an expression of dark art, and it is very real. It can be positively life changing. Magic is found in the threshold where we come to the interface between here and there, from the familiar to the unfamiliar, from day to night, from former life to new life.
We tend to see all things in polarities, thesis and anthesis, opposites, dualism. There is a third view between the opposites. This is the threshold where we are neither here nor there…
