WORSHIPERS OF A FALSE GOD

AND THAT GOD IS MONEY

Let’s face it. The large majority of American citizens worship money above all else. Whatever role they play in society, makes no difference. Money rules.

How dare I say this? How dare I not! What is “god”? It is that concept, that principle to which we devote most all of our attention, our concerns, our energies, our devotion and our trust. In this nation, and I’ll not stretch my judgement beyond our borders, the answer fitting those qualifications is money. Yes, we quest for power, but the clearest path to power is found in money.

Who can argue this proposition? I’d like to hear your argument against what I’ve said. Yes, I know. I am presuming to sit in judgement of the majority of my fellow citizens. I can do this because I’ve been there where concerns for money have dominated my life.

In my judgement, I do not sentence anyone. I don’t even blame those who worship the god of money. This is the way we’ve been taught and trained from birth up. Neither do I blame our parents, or their parents.

Somewhere along the way, long, long ago, this error was born into our social order. I know it goes back to Moses and the exodus, and undoubtedly before. When Mose came down from the mount, having met and conversed with I Am, carrying the tablets on which he had inscribed the ten guidelines for a healthy life which he understood the Boss to have passed on to him, what did he find?
