You guys are fascinating. Well studied, yet still seeming open to learning from each other, and thereby being of great benefit to those of us less studied. I tend to let go of details such as you are expert in. Perhaps I am lazy, but I look to essences, and concern myself with what seems to be of significant spiritual value. This is NOT a criticism of your diligent explorations regarding what is or may not be truth in our traditions. Traditions are maintained in order to enhance our worship. The important thing is the worship, not necessarily the tradition intended to aid the worship. If it aids worship, good, learn it and keep it. If it does not particularly seem necessary to worship, I find little concern in the details. For those who do gain worship integrity from tradition, amen, carry on.
