The change in name from global warming to climate change was instigated by "conservative" interest who deny the Science of warming in order to reduce the fright factor and continue to make short term profits by continued pollution of air and oceans. Warming is run away until sufficient action is taken to slow and stop the warming. That is not happening and appears unlikely to happen.

And still, you and the frog sit, waiting until the water boils, Miami is covered by rising water, world wide food supplies are inadequate, and wars occur over usable land and access to fresh water.
